A murder probe has been launched after a man was stabbed to death outside a pub hosting a birthday party.
The victim, who was in his 20s, was found by police in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Emergency services were called to the scene in Sutton Coldfield at around 2am on Sunday following reports of a knife attack.
He was found in the car park of The Beggars Bush pub, on Chester Road, and pronounced dead at the scene.
There is believed to have been a heightened police presence due to a birthday event.
Anyone with information has been urged to come forward, with a murder investigation also now being launched.
No arrests have been made as of yet.
Det Ch Insp Stacey Follows said: "Our investigation is at an early stage, and our thoughts are with the man's family and friends today.
"We will continue to support them as our investigation progresses, and I'd urge anyone who saw what happened, or who has dashcam or CCTV to get in touch with us as soon as possible."
The car park remains cordoned off, with police erecting a blue forensic tent.
