A terminal at Heathrow Airport has been evacuated as fire crews have been called to a "possible hazardous materials incident".
The incident has taken place in Terminal 4 at the airport, where passenger check-in is currently closed.
A Heathrow Airport spokeswoman said: "Terminal 4 check-in has been closed and evacuated while emergency services respond to an incident.
"We are asking passengers not to travel to Terminal 4 and supporting those on site. All other terminals are operating as normal.
"We will provide further information as soon as we can."
The London Fire Brigade confirmed part of the airport had been evacuated "as a precaution".
A spokesman said: "Firefighters are responding to a possible hazardous materials incident at Heathrow Airport.
"Specialist crews have been deployed to carry out an assessment of the scene, and part of the airport has been evacuated as a precaution whilst firefighters respond.

"The brigade was first called about the incident at 5.01pm, and crews from Feltham, Heathrow, Wembley and surrounding fire stations have been sent to the scene."
London Ambulance Service said it was called to Terminal 4 at 4.50pm.
A spokeswoman said: “We have sent resources to the scene including ambulance crews, our cycle response unit, an incident response officer, an advanced paramedic practitioner and members of our hazardous area response team (HART).
“The incident is ongoing and we are working with our emergency services partners to respond safely to this emergency.”

National Rail said trains are currently not calling at Heathrow Terminal 4 "due to emergency services dealing with an incident".
Footage posted to social media shows passengers standing outside the airport with their luggage as they await updates on when they can travel.
Some could be seen wrapped in foil blankets.
A member of staff with a megaphone could be heard in one clip saying: "We do apologise for the inconvenience, we do have a specialist team on site.
"This is an ongoing incident we have got going on in Terminal Four at the moment.
"I can't give any more of an update at the moment as to when you can come back in the building."
According to the airport’s website, flights from Terminal 4 are still scheduled to depart on time, with only one delay to a Saudia airline flight to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia currently expected.
Heathrow Airport confirmed in an update just after 8pm that the affected terminal was reopening.
An airport spokeswoman said: “Emergency services have confirmed Terminal 4 is safe to reopen and we are doing everything we can to ensure all flights to depart as planned today.
"We are very sorry for the disruption caused, the safety and security of our passengers and colleagues is our number one priority.
"We encourage passengers to check with their airline for the latest information about their flight this evening and our colleagues will be on hand into the night to assist.”
